THE GREEN HOUSE
In a forgotten beautiful old patch of forest of over 4.000 m2 in the village Epse, hidden between luxurious villas and a ‘70s residential area, we’ve designed and built a gem: a small house almost entirely made out of glass, even the roof, to fully enjoy the surrounding forest. A fantastic place to relax and recharge. Open the doors of the green house, hear the birds chirping and see the squirrels running up and down the huge trees. In the morning you might spot deer walking through the forest.
The centerpiece of the house is a beautiful kitchen-annex-bar-annex-lounge with a built in wood stove in front and parallel to the house is an unheated natural swimming pool with a 12 meter swimming lane and a helophyte filter with lava stones and yellow irises for the purification of the water.
The footprint of the house is only 40m2 but by making use of different levels we managed to create a spacious bathroom downstairs and 2 full sized bedrooms upstairs.The bathroom and bedrooms are located in the closed rear part of the house. The interior of the house is finished with Ayous, a thermally modified type of wood. A heat pump provides heating and hot water. The house has its own waste water system.
Epse is a small village between Deventer and Gorssel. Start your walk or bike ride at the entrance of the long driveway for a tour beautiful villas, holiday homes, forest and meadows. In Deventer, Gorssel and Zutphen you will find nice places to have lunch or dinner.

Please note:
because of the pool, this house is less suitable for children who can't swim yet
the pool is natural, so not heated!
the house is not suitable for pets
RATES, AVAILABILITY AND BOOKING
in low season the rental price is 185 Euro per night based on a stay of 2 persons
In high season the rental price is 245 Euro per night based on a stay of 2 persons. You’ll find the dates for high season on the INFO page
if you stay with more than 2 persons you'll pay an extra charge of 25 Euro per person per night for the 3rd and 4th person
in low season the minimum stay is 3 nights on weekends (Friday to Monday) and 2 nights during the week (Monday-Wednesday and Wednesday-Friday)
in high season minimum stay is 3 nights on weekends (Friday to Monday) and 4 nights during the week (Monday-Friday). You’ll find the dates for high season on the INFO page
during Summer and Christmas minimum stay is a week (Fri-Fri)
final cleaning is mandatory and is 95 Euro per stay
tourist tax is 1,40 Euro per person per night
babies up to 1 year old stay for free. Please bring your own baby cot and bedding for the baby. Please note that there is not so much space for a babycot, only a baby cot that fits on abed is suitable.
your stay includes bath linen, bed linen and kitchen linen, unlimited use of firewood, Smit & Dorlas coffee cups, Clipper tea, delicious soap from the Dutch brand Ajen and basic household supply (olive oil, salt, pepper etc) .

LOCATION
De Kas is located at Oude Larenseweg in Epse. The house is best reached by car. You can park your car on the terrain.
